How should I use @phanpy ?
I am a "chronological reader"
I want to start on my last read item and than go to the newest one, so I don't miss anything.
But #phanpy pops to the newest message every time I open it.
Is it possible to change this behaviour?
I think the solution from the official mastodon app ist quiet good. It has the options to "load new above" or "load new behind" depending from which direction I scrolled.

Habe mir gestern eine mustergültige, fediverse-kompatible Nostr Identitität gebastelt. Beide Profile sind miteinander - wie ersichtlich - miteinander verlinkt.

Im Gegensatz zu #Mastodon / #Phanpy bin ich mit meiner Nostr Idendität aber nicht an einen Client / eine Oberfläche gebunden, sondern völlig frei in der Auswahl und jederzeitigem Wechsel. Mit den eigenen Followern umständlich umziehen, muss man nicht, die sind immer schon da. Eine "nomadische Freiheit", die geradezu revolutionär ist.

#Phanpy (hostato da @devol) è ormai la mia unica interfaccia per #Mastodon, sia da PC che da cellulare (installato come webapp). Esperienza per me di gran lunga superiore a quella del sito originale e di qualunque app abbia provato! (unica pecca, non compare tra le possibilità di condivisione di pagine web o media da cellulare, motivo per cui tengo almeno un'altra app installata in parallelo, ultimamente #Fedilab che mi permette di condividere anche su #Friendica)

cons:

• missing delete and redraft
• multi account: just two accounts?
• can't turn off boosts carousel

pros:

• switch to origin instance (wish for better non-mastodon support)
• grouped boosts&likes
• threads design
• quote posts
• visual cues for hashtags
• custom tabs/menu

Some idle #fedi questions just out of curiosity, none of them really connected

1) Why does #Phanpy load everything faster than when I log in through my instance?

2) I made a #PixelFed account for @rainbowrodeomag. I use the same social media scheduler for my Mastodon account. Same posts. Same content. Same images. But the Pixey account has more interactions. What's up with that?

3) I set up a federated account using Ghost's beta (index[at]rainbowrodemag[dot]com) but I can't find it when I search?

I've already got separate Mastodon and Threads accounts so I'm not planning to rely on this...it seems like it's really Ghost's attempts to create an ecosystem similar to Substack's app without actually building an app (which imo is really smart)

A co tam, zarzucę wędkę i zobaczymy czy coś się złowi z #fedipomoc

Poszukuję rozwiązania następującej kwestii - często wrzucam tu dłuższe wpisy odnośnie nowych zdobyczy np. z #TeamPudełka (czyli fizyczne wydania gier/muzyki/filmów), opatrzone zdjęciami opisywanego obiektu. Problem w tym, że jakkolwiek moja instancja #GoToSocial pozwala mi na wrzucenie większej ilości zdjęć, tak zarówno #Phanpy jak i #Moshidon już mają limit 4 szt. Nawet gdyby nie miały, to z tego co wiem większość klientów #Mastodon nie wyświetli więcej niż ww. limit.

Dlatego pojawił się pomysł żeby wrzucać takie wpisy na coś w formie bloga. #WriteFreely bardzo mi się podoba, głównie za prostotę, ale dodawanie zdjęć wymaga już klasycznego linkowania "z zewnętrz". Wordpress z drugiej strony to w moim przypadku przerost formy nad treścią. Wiem, że jest jeszcze #Pixelfed ale stawianie go tylko pod tym kątem - średnio mi się podoba.

Pytanie więc - jak żyć? I czy znajdzie się coś równie prostego i schludnego jak Writefreely, ale z możliwością łatwego "wyklikania" (tak, wiem że znienawidzone słowo przez niektórych) galerii we wpisie? A może da się to jednak ożenić z GoToSocial? Federacja nie jest nawet wymagana, bo nie mam problemu z linkowaniem na swoim głównym profilu Oczywiście cały czas mowa o rozwiązaniach #selfhosted

Poradźcie proszę koledze.
