The full sized M29 Davy Crockett finished printing. Only a couple small changes needed for the production model. I will also be sanding, finishing and painting this one.
Sorry for the repost. I noticed that a tooth was situated almost exactly behind another tooth, causing an odd edge. Once I saw that, I could not unsee it, and needed to change it.
His journey went from Unbound (SDF modeling) to ZBrush (some sculpted details) to Blender (Cycles rendering).
Then, a bit of post-processing in Affinity Photo and PhotoScape X (Pro).

The components I need to match the System Source Computer Museum's IBM 7090 components are all done! Printed (this is ~ 1:12 scale) and assembling the 7617. Need to apply decals and then I'll show a pic of it all together. #3Dmodeling#miniature
PS - The 711 and 7617 aren't actually blue, they're gray. I just didn't change that color on the render.)
Modelled and rendered in Blender. Something of an ongoing work in progress: in such compositions balancing light & dark and preserving details in shadow can be a long process.
