"May Day" teableau for 05/01/25

It is a gloriously beautiful spring day in northwest Washington State, a day which flamboyantly defies the evil in this world. I wish I could lend it to all who deserve to feel ebullience and joy.

"Finnish-ing School" teableau for 04/30/25

The little vintage plate was made by Arabia Finland, depicting a traditional costume of Häme, Finland. There is a series of five of these dishes showing different areas of the country but I only have this one.

Sending love to Canadians going to the polls, and grieving the tragedy in Vancouver.

In a world gone mad, I have to start my day with some grace, however small.

Tea tableau in soft yellow and parchment tones with purple accents. The cozy has subtle tulips, the vintage china has a muted ivy pattern, there is a small clear glass duck figurine with a black head and tail, the tea is Madagascar Vanilla black loose leaf from Mark T Wendell Teas. The base is a yellow crochet topper.

"Easter Sunrise" teableau for 04/20/25

It was in actuality a cloudy lightening of the sky rather than a sunrise when I let my dog out at dawn, but the bird choir didn't care, emitting a blazing chorale to the day even if the solar orb did not.

"Blue Hue Brew" teableau for 04/17/25

Butterfly blue pea flower tea is a vibrant blue color which can be altered to purple or pink with the addition of lemon. The flavor is pretty mild but it's fun to share with children.

The cup & saucer are vintage Salisbury Bone China from England; the pattern is called Woodbine, circa 1946-1960.
