TOV<p>The difference between sRGB, Adobe RGB and ProPhoto RGB.</p><p><a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/sRGB" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>sRGB</span></a> is the standard color space for use on the web and most print labs accept files in this color space.</p><p><a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Adobe" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Adobe</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/RGB" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RGB</span></a> is a larger color space than sRGB and is often used for professional printing. Adobe RGB is too large of a color space for the web, but it can be converted to sRGB for online publishing.</p><p><a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/ProPhoto" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ProPhoto</span></a> RGB is the largest of these three color profiles. If you plan to use ProPhoto RGB, you will need to shoot in <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/RAW" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RAW</span></a> format.</p>
TOV<p>Krita supports Gray, sRGB, RGB, HEX, HSL, HSV, XYZ, CMYK, and Lab. In theory, Krita also supports YCrCb. Note that Krita supports unbounded colors as long as the bitdepth is F32.</p><p><a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Krita" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Krita</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Gray" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Gray</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/sRGB" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>sRGB</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/RGB" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RGB</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/XYZ" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>XYZ</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/CMYK" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CMYK</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Lab" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Lab</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/YCrCb" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>YCrCb</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Color" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Color</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/HEX" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HEX</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/HSL" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HSL</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/HSV" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HSV</span></a></p>
TOV<p>GIMP's default color profile is a built-in sRGB profile. GIMP 3.0 now supports RGB color spaces beyond the standard sRGB, enabling the handling of images with profiles like Adobe RGB.</p><p>Unfortunately, GIMP 3.0 still does not fully support CMYK and LAB color spaces.</p><p><a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/GIMP" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GIMP</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/sRGB" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>sRGB</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/RGB" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RGB</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/LAB" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>LAB</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/CMYK" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CMYK</span></a></p>
