I was nursing a wee hangover when I met Gunpowder, a grey quarter horse.</p><p>I got into the saddle and off we trotted. At the treeline, just out of sight of the barn, Gunpowder stopped, turned, and dared me to try to make him continue.</p><p>Back to the barn. Back to the treeline. Wills clashed. Hours passed.</p><p>Decades later, neither I nor any of my MCs will be riding any horses 😆</p>
