BadgerScot 🦡🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿<p>Just did some customisations in <a href="https://kitty.social/tags/KDE" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#KDE</a><span> that I'm really pleased with.<br><br>Krohnkite was a little untidy in the way it tiled certain windows but its Github page had some suggestions on how to do clean that up, which I've applied (more or less). As well as applying a couple of window rules to more tightly control window sizes, every window now has rounded corners and their lilac borders are once again visible, the thick border denoting the active window. <br><br>I'm really loving Krohnkite's auto-Tiling windows and now they look as beautiful as they work. </span>:ms_purple_heart:<span><br><br></span><a href="https://kitty.social/tags/Linux" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Linux</a> <a href="https://kitty.social/tags/KDE" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#KDE</a> <a href="https://kitty.social/tags/TilingWindowManager" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#TilingWindowManager</a> <a href="https://kitty.social/tags/Krohnkite" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Krohnkite</a> <a href="https://kitty.social/tags/MokkaTheme" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#MokkaTheme</a> <a href="https://kitty.social/tags/Catppuccin" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Catppuccin</a></p>
Éric V.<p>OK OK... keep calm, don&#39;t lose time... but but... now I really need to test it! Day Use X Mockin' Uh<p>Anyone who has given at least one of them an honest try, and then decided accordingly that tiling window managers do NOT work well with your specific workflow: Why don't they?</p><p>I mean this neither sarcastically nor rhetorically, nor do I intend to solicite any objectively bad takes any hotter than my own; I'm actually asking.</p><p><a href="https://defcon.social/tags/tilingwindowmanager" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>tilingwindowmanager</span></a> <a href="https://defcon.social/tags/askfedi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>askfedi</span></a> <a href="https://defcon.social/tags/foss" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>foss</span></a> <a href="https://defcon.social/tags/linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>linux</span></a> <a href="https://defcon.social/tags/unixporn" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>unixporn</span></a></p>

scy<p>I'd like to dip my toes into not using <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/Sway" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Sway</span></a> for a few days, but I'd still like to use a tiling window manager if possible.</p><p>There seem to be plenty of <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/Gnome" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Gnome</span></a> extensions that provide tiling support. Any recommendations? Bonus points if it's available in Debian Stable (Bookworm).</p><p><a href="https://chaos.social/tags/Tiling" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Tiling</span></a> <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/TilingWindowManager" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TilingWindowManager</span></a> <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a></p>
lopeztel :nixos: :arch:<p>Ideally I wouldn't be using <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/windows" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>windows</span></a> but <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/corporateLife" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>corporateLife</span></a> demands it, <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/komorebi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>komorebi</span></a> makes the experience a lot like having a proper <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/tilingWindowManager" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>tilingWindowManager</span></a> in linux <a href="https://github.com/LGUG2Z/komorebi" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">github.com/LGUG2Z/komorebi</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p>
Christian Drumm 🇪🇺🧗🚵<p>Switched from Amethyst to Aerospace (<a href="https://github.com/nikitabobko/AeroSpace" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">github.com/nikitabobko/AeroSpa</span><span class="invisible">ce</span></a>) over the weekend. </p><p>I really like it so far. A little more configuration needed but feels much faster and stabler.</p><p>Can highly recommand the switch!</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/tilingwindowmanager" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>tilingwindowmanager</span></a></p>
