Wow, so I guess Danielle Smith's actions in Alberta have not reached the rest of the nation yet.
She came out in public and said that the scientific results of unbiased research does not produce enough "views" (as if scientific results are just an "opinion") which align with her Conservative ideology, so the Alberta government will step in to prevent Universities from receiving Federal funding on subjects which she finds to be "problematic", and could produce results which don't align with Conservative views.
I don't know how people can be unaware of this absolute travesty of authoritarian anti-science overreach.
I only wish she were right, that this dystopian nightmare was not so real.

I found out at an expulsion hearing that most schools in #yeg cannot afford counselors.
As schools deal with suicides, bullying, mental crises, etc., Danielle Smith is happy to throw hundreds of millions into detox jails.
But increase our school budget for children? Yeah, not going to happen. #abpoli

It became very clear today at an expulsion hearing that vulnerable children are suffering in so many cruel ways due to the Alberta government underfunding our education system.
There are no class spaces or real supports for vulnerable children.
A grandfather with three children, evicted from a housing shelter, calls me crying b/c Income Support has denied him help.
I know it may have been his doing. I know it's frustrating. The blame may lie with GF. What does that really accomplish other than misery for these children? #abpoli

@TheGentYYC It also misses out on a crucial issue. We are a Treaty people... Virtually all of Alberta is covered by one of the Treaties (6,7,8). Those treaties between First Nations are made with Canada, not Alberta. So there is no land to separate.
That and it is an immensely dumb and selfish view anyway... #abpoli #cdnpoli

Sayid has many problems, namely when he ran for the UCP he parked outside of polling stations to try to intimidate people to vote in his favour.
Speaking for myself, Trisha Estabrooks is the right candidate for Edmonton-Center. This is my endorsement.
She's worked hard over the past two years and knocked the entire riding at least twice. She will represent our riding and do it well.
