Every year we sadly lose more people with first hand memories of WW2, which is a devastating loss to society. My own dear parents passed recently, and I miss them beyond words. Their childhood stories from WW2 will stay with me for life.

Despite her diminutive size (she was less than five feet tall), she successfully interrogated Nazi POWs. She survived the war & wrote a memoir, Behind Enemy Lines, detailing her exploits.
