The hard part of something like this is pushing through to a final product even if I'm a little unhappy with it instead of just immediately giving up as soon as I fuck up.
I'm looking for someone who whittles (edit: or does wood carving, apparently they're different things!) I'd like to buy a small figurine of a sleeping bear, from within EU. This was my final project for my second year at Sätergläntan.
What I chose to work with was weaving reed making. It is an extinct craft here in Sweden, so I had to start from what was written about the craft and what I could figure out from testing.

The reed is an important tool in the loom and keep the warp threads apart. So the reed has a big impact on how tight the weave gets. Nowadays, metal reeds are mostly used, but there are situations when a wooden reed is more suitable. Reconstruction weaving is one such example. If you use a metal reed, the fabric becomes very static.
