This is possibly the most unlikely one hit wonder to top the charts - an eight minute minimalist piece from New York performance artist Laurie Anderson who was reportedly taken by surprise by the unexpected success of this single and went on to sign an eight album deal afterwards.
O Superman by Laurie Anderson (https://song.link/gb/i/255970917)
Today's theme for Tune Tuesday is One Hit Wonder. I was not really inspired this time, but this one popped into my head: Love is all by Roger Glover, sung by the late great Ronnie James Dio
Always loved the video as a kid too.
"My Sharona" by The Knack was considered a #OneHitWonder but me and my friends blasted it on our 8 tracks for all the world to hear.
#tunetuesday #OneHitWonders
I submit Stutter Rap by Morris Minor and the Majors because just last night best beloved and I were describing Tony Hawks' One Hit Wonderland to the folks we're staying with.
This has not aged well.
Happy #TuneTuesday! This week we have #OneHitWonder for the theme. There are so many to choose from, and I don’t really think of her as a one hit wonder, but I’ve chosen perhaps the greatest singer to ever only have one hit.
Amy Winehouse - Rehab
I don't really believe in "One Hit Wonder" because it directly correlate to mainstream commercial success and not the quality of the song.
Most of the band I listen to are No Hit Wonders at all.
Yet, there are some groups that are known only for one of their song. Most people trying the "Name Three Songs" game on them are stuck at one.
BiS is amongst them.
And this particular one hit wonder needs to be listened to every day, so here it is again:

Enjoy!
If you were a teenager in the 90s, you probably remember Narcotic by Liquido. This band hit it big with their debut single, and even earned the title of second greatest song of all time from a local German radio station
#OneHitWonder is the theme for today's #TuneTuesday
Why were one hit wonders so much more prevalent in the 80s and 90s, or have I just been hiding my head under a rock?
I’m posting this out of nostalgia, not because it was a great song. Looking back, wondering how this song got so popular. Zero points for song name originality.
Crash Test Dummies - Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm
Tune Tuesday's theme is One Hit Wonders. Which, I mean, I don't love the term, but whatever.
So...
Chumbawumba - Tubthumping https://song.link/us/i/1440629499
It's Tune Tuesday again and the theme is one hit wonders, so I present to you the inimitable "Hobo Humpin' Slobo Babe" by Whale:

Mein #OneHitWonder zum #tunetuesday:
"Words" von F.R. David - für mich die Mutter aller musikalischen Eintagsfliegen.
Way too many choices.
"Brandy (You're a Fine Girl)" is a 1972 song by American pop rock band Looking Glass. It's the bit of bluesy voice and story that gets me singing along every time I hear this song.
And an iconic one hit wonder in the US, Rappers Delight by Sugar Hill Gang.
