Heute gibt es ein weiteres Foto vom Museumszug der #BerlinerEisenbahnfreunde am Donnerstag auf der Durchfahrt in #Neustrelitz. Auf der Rückfahrt von Waren (Müritz) fuhr die Schlepptender-Dampflokomotive 03 2155 mit dem Tender voran Richtung Berlin zurück – in Waren gibt es keine Drehscheibe, auf der die Lok hätte gewendet werden können. Gut, dass der Sohn dabei war, der einem solche Details erklären kann.

Today there is another photo of the #BerlinerEisenbahnfreunde museum train passing through #Neustrelitz on Thursday. On the return journey from Waren (Müritz), the locomotive 03 2155 was heading back towards Berlin with the tender in front - there is no turntable in Waren where the locomotive could have been turned. It's a good thing the son was there to explain such details.

Die Lokomotive fährt mit dem Tender voran – der Kessel befindet sich hinten. Der Lokführer schaut aus dem Fenster nach vorn, am Betrachter vorbei.

A steam locomotive with the number 03 2155-4 pulls a train with old passenger carriages. The photo was taken from the platform from a low position and at an oblique angle. The locomotive is running with the tender in front - the boiler is at the rear. The driver looks out of the window to the front, past the observer.

Battle of Britain class steam loco Tangmere, hissing as she sits in Waverley after a cross-border run up from #York to #Edinburgh . Still sad dad wasn't able to come through for the day, he would have loved this. Wee bit of video just to catch that sound.

When I was a kid, I had a Britannia in my model rail set - dad and I used to set it up and run it together, so it was even more special to see the real thing in action, with my dad that day.
