I am not good at sprouting the protein mix. This was my 2nd attempt. I harvested the 1st try at day 5 and it was a day or so too late.

I let these soak all night in room temp water, I followed the rinsing schedule in this book rather than on the bag which said just once a day, and today was the fourth day.

They weren’t bad, but the garbanzo beans were a little slimy. And whatever those red beans are were 50-50 so crunchy I could hurt a tooth.

I about a half cup and this is the rest of the harvest. Not bad for four days, and I will try again soon.

Behold the bounty of #sprouts I grew in 6 days with nothing but a mason jar with a screen in the lid, sprouting seeds, and water. Oh and 12-24 hrs of sunlight on the last day.

The nutrient beginning with an “S” is supposed to be good for people with #MECFS although I don’t have any study on hand regarding this.

I’m just so excited about this because in New Hampshire we have a very short growing season, I live in an apartment so my space gardening is very limited, but if I can grow sprouts on my counter my life is better for it.

“Simple food is always the best food. Cook equal parts lentils (black, red, beluga) and rice, add a handful sprouts (chickpeas, green peas, mung beans) and 1—2 tablespoons sesame oil (or olive). Delicious, and healthy.”

Finally home after weeks away. Just started some seeds soaking for #sprouts. Set dried fruit bits in my #kombucha to revivify (wow that kombucha is way bubbly now!) Started waking up the #sourdough to make a loaf next week. And set the emergency #yogurt (made just before we left to use up the milk) to strain so that it's nice and thick for breakfast tomorrow. So good to be back in my own kitchen!
