Und dann ist da noch das Schlitten fahren. Der "echte" Schlittenhundesport. Mit Schnee und Kufen unter den Füßen. Der leise, stille Sport - zumindest, wenn die Hunde mal laufen. Nur das Atmen der Hunde und die Geräusche, die der Schlitten macht, wenn er durch den Schnee gezogen wird. Das ist eindrucksvoll und wundervoll. Das Foto entstand 2021 im Februar. Und zwar in Brandenburg. Bei mir um die Ecke. Da hatten wir so viel Schnee, dass eine Freundin mit ihren Huskys aus der Nähe von Hamburg angereist kam, um bei uns Schlitten zu fahren. Das war wirklich einmalig. Ein Jahr zuvor waren wir gemeinsam in Schwedich Lappland, ebenfalls um Schlitten zu fahren. Auf dem Foto seht ihr meine beiden Hunde, Mette und Bounty, im Lead (ganz vorn) und einen Hund meiner Freundin, Yukon, im Wheel.

And then there's the sledding. The real sled dog sport. With snow and runners under your feet. The quiet, silent sport - at least when the dogs are running (it can get deafeningly loud at the start). Just the breathing of the dogs and the sounds the sled makes as it is pulled through the snow. It's impressive and wonderful. The photo was taken in February 2021. In Brandenburg. Just round the corner from where I live. We had a lot of snow so that a friend came from near Hamburg with her huskies to go sledging with us. That was really unique. A year earlier, we had travelled to Swedish Lapland together, also to go sledding. In the photo you can see my two dogs, Mette and Bounty, in the lead (at the front) and one of my friend's dogs, Yukon, in the wheel.

@annantidote AFAIK, @almalinux and @rockylinux alongside @centos are supoorted.
- The only proven to be supported option is the Studio version on #RHEL #Workstation (notshure if @SUSE / #SUSE #SLED or @thelinuxcast / #OpenSUSE support it!)...

@killyourfm #Funfact: Basically any #Linux I know (okay, except #SLES / #SLED, #RHEL and #OracleLinux with a subscription) allow users to install their system on an external drive.
- And with #Steam it's just choosing a different drive to install games to.
Still, I do welcome options that make it even easier...

Selbst fucking #Apple ist besser weil nicht nur #Backups.funktionieren sondern all der ganze #Cloud-Bullshit abstellbar ist!

- And by "don't I don't mean "teach #assembly and CPU architectures" but anything that goes beyond #LinusTechTips's #Tutorials...
At best they show people how to change fan curves in the #UEFI or hiw to run #memtest86+, but mostly they just "teach" people how to consume #Windows and at best #macOS and that's it.
- I mean I don't expect any training center to teach people how to build #mkroot (#toybox + #linux) or #LinuxFromScratch but at least showing people how to use @ubuntu / #UbuntuLTS & @tails_live / @tails / #Tails should be in the cards if #RHEL & #SLES / #SLED isn't.
Same with @libreoffice / #LibreOffice & @thunderbird / #Thunderbird.
- At least the most pointless certification - #ECDL - isn't hard-locked to #Windows11 & #MicrosoftOffice per-se!

@jakob_thoboell @DigitalWriter@bildung.social @jdohrmann insbesondere passt der Vergleich weil IT nicht wie kommerzielle zivile Luftfahrt ist und Piloten dort nur auf nachweislich trainierten Jets eingesetzt werden dürfen...
- Von mir wird auch erwartet dass ich im Zweifelsfalle nicht nur #UbuntuLTS, sondern auch #RHEL, #SLES / #SLED, #OracleLinux oder gar #macOS einrichten und warten kann...

Was mich erschreckt ist allerdings das Festbeißen zwischen Ausbildung und Job: So oft höre ich "Leute müssen in der Schule an Windows ausgebildet werden, da dass das ist, was der Arbeitsmarkt braucht." Leute: Wenn mir ein Handwerksgeselle sagt, er kann nur mit Makita umgehen oder ein Berufskraftfahrer, er kann nur auf MAN fahren, dann würde jeder Arbeitgeber dessen Eignung für das Grund-Skillset in Frage stellen... Nur beim PC scheint das normal zu sein @kkarhan@infosec.space @jdohrmann@social.cologne
