adorned in the finest jewelry
#sapphires and rubies glistening
is again posting
for all her subjects to see
the height of regal majesty
in yet another ostentatious display
of royal hypocrisy
If only they knew the reality
of this bitter wench
trapped in a tarnished coffin

In the thistles
Gorse-glow
Soft on the moor
Ragweed in the ditch
Smiling brightly for the sun
The west wind
Blows a gentle light
Hiding edges
Blurring the boundary
Between land and sky

The spirit of the wild
A quiet joy
