JC Palmer<p>I'm adjusting my <a href="https://toot.community/tags/Obsidian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Obsidian</span></a> journaling template to get weather info from my weather cache file (which pulls from my weather script) and append it into the frontmatter properties (by manually defining the YAML). This cleans up my journal entries.</p><p>Further, I refined the navigation menu code to work just a bit better.</p><p>Now I'm resolving some final quirks and my journaling template will be complete... for now.</p>
Casual Observer - Restart Mode :donor:<p>One of the things that was really hard to use about the FreeFileSync app (which I use to backup my <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/obsidian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>obsidian</span></a> vault and photos folder to various destinations) was the fact that it had no dark mode. Given the state of my eyes, no dark mode means I don't use it.</p><p>Thankfully, an update was issued in January that includes a dark mode theme and that relieves my need to find a different product. Dark mode FTW!</p>

JC Palmer<p>After a long journey of finding the perfect home for my PKM system, I have once again returned to <a href="https://toot.community/tags/Obsidian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Obsidian</span></a>. It's just so powerful with things like Templater. (Just ask me about my journaling template!)</p><p>And with LiveSync, I don't have to rely on iCloud or pay for Obsidian Sync (nor deal with the git or Syncthing methods, neither of which I found reliable). This runs on a self-hosted CouchDB instance.</p><p>AppFlowy came really close. I never liked Logseq. AFFiNE was alright, and so was Outline.</p>

Está creciendo así</p><p>La nube roja son las notas que me pongo los días que trabajo, la verde está lo que busqué de Smart Cities. En rosa está todo lo relacionado con el ruido y en azul oscuro, la polución ambiental. </p><p>La parte de ruido ha crecido considerablemente y, como he trabajado en el doctorado también el propio cuaderno de bitácora. Los puntos grises no están clasificados, pueden ser autores, pueden ser universidades, revistas o ideas de lo que encuentro. Incluso algunos peuqeños trabajos que he tenido que hacer.</p>
