been using #feditext on iOS for a few days and i gotta say, god damn this slaps

swift is kinda dope i guess, the UI is just so nice, lots of config options and it saves you timeline position!!

Does anyone know what happened to FediText? Mine just stopped working … and so did its older sibling Metatext.

I’ve been trying other apps and hoping FediText would start working again… but no luck so far.

Feditext beta users: today's version 1.7.2 build 130 adds support for push notifications from GoToSocial instances.

you will need to be running a development version of GTS 0.18 with this patch applied <https://github.com/superseriousbusiness/gotosocial/pull/3762>, or wait for the *next* release candidate (0.18.0rc1 doesn't have it) or the 0.18.0 release proper.

users of other instance servers don't need to update.

Feditext beta users: yesterday's version 1.7.2 build 129 includes fixes to our Spanish translation (contributed by <https://wetdry.world/@nelson>) and our Polish translation (contributed by <https://github.com/matpl11>).

Feditext beta users: today's version 1.7.2 build 126 now supports editing posts on GotoSocial 0.18 (already supported for most other Fedi servers).

since GtS 0.18 is still in development, this release is recommended for advanced GtS users only: you need to explicitly set a version like 0.18.0-dev while building GtS for Feditext to detect and enable 0.18 features.

users of current GtS or other servers don't need to update to today's Feditext release.

Now that I'm trying out #GoToSocial full-time, I'm going to try making #Feditext my primary Fedi client. Still in beta but it does a few things that trunks isn't doing for me and of course Ivory notably can't do GtS yet

#Feditext has another annoying bug: apparently, it’s not possible to add alt text to pictures afterwards.

Sadly, #IceCubesApp has a similar issue and while you can add an alt text afterwards, you cannot do it for multiple pictures.
And if you have a policy that prevents posting without alt text, this will prevent you from adding alt text one by one, essentially making it similarly impossible impossible to add alt text.

Hey #GoToSocial #iPhone users, what is your favourite client for #iOS. I'm using #FediText right now, but it's not as nice as #Tusky was on #Android.

I know of #Ivory, but afaik that's super focused on #Mastodon, so I'm assuming it will not work as nicely with a non-mastodon fedi service.

Actuellement j’utilise la version web de Mastodon sur mon smartphone. Je me suis fait à l’interface , ça va. Mais il y a un truc invivable : le rafraîchissement des pages est horrible, ça saute, ça décale la TL et surtout ça empêche de scroller normalement. Et impossible de reprendre là où on s’était arrêté.
J’ai lu du positif sur le client gratuit #feditext, encore en développement mais très prometteur. J’ai l’impression que leur compte Mastodon est invisibilisé sur cette instance. @admin ?
