I have a huge #BeaconDB dataset here, recorded with #NeoStumbler.
I would like to play around with it a bit, display densities of radio devices on a map.
I know #QGis, is it reasonably easy to import a CSV file there, assign the coordinates to some columns etc?
Alternatively I know a bit of #R, but #RStudio is #Electron now, so that could get a hassle XD
Btw, there is a #Fedora #COPR for R-Cran packages, how is the situation on #NixOS?
To me, the best things about it are the keyboard and the screen.
I also like the fact that it's currently my slowest computer, not counting a Raspi zero W (not zero 2) sitting on a shelf somewhere, or assorted microcontroller boards here and there.
If it doesn't run well on the PBP, then to me, it's just not good software.
Signal (and I guess any #Electron apps) are particularly absymal.

Dans ce jeu, nous découvrons le comportement des éléctrons dans différents matériaux pour comprendre le transport électronique. Nous découvrons l'impact de la température et de la densité et nous découvrons des phénomènes inédits comme une phase supraconductrice où il n'y a aucune résistance et les électrons sont parfaitement transportés dans le matériaux suffisamment refroidi grâce aux paires de Cooper ! Nous ressentons aussi que dans des matériaux avec beaucoup d'électrons et à haute température, il est difficile de se déplacer, comme dans une phase d'isolant de Mott.
Dans ce jeu, vous vous déplacez avec les flèches du clavier, et lorsque c'est possible, vous activez la supraconductivité avec la barre espace.

I've been suspecting that something faster and "easier" than #LaTeX (no hard feelings: TeX is enormously old and has lasted really long!) must be possible -- thank you for confirming that.
I get the utility of web-based collaboration, but ... I really really want a desktop GUI because sending each button press across half the world is *so wasteful*, not to mention privacy issues. The only maintained desktop app costs money, looks spartan and seems to use #Electron
