Ce projet intègre un chatbot Rasa dans un monde virtuel OpenSim, permettant aux utilisateurs d'interagir avec le bot via un NPC (Non-Player Character).

I heard about this on the mystery AI Hype Theatre 3000 podcast. A credible set of real medical researchers published a random control trial where people with eating disorders were assigned one of two treatments: absolutely nothing or a chatbot. The result of this RCT appears to be that something is better than nothing. Who would have guessed? I mean, I guess this supports a conclusion that using a #chatbot was not worse than nothing. Take a victory lap.

I know there are better Science People™ out there than me. Haven't there been an awful lot of studies that show almost any explicit treament of a condition is better than nothing? I thought there was some finding beyond just the placebo effect. The placebo effect, interestingly enough, also works when participants know its a placebo!
