Yay a friend showed me this neat doo-dad. It’s lets me use NP-F batteries. This 3rd party battery is USB-C rechargeable. The Blind Spot device can output a regulated 12v or an unregulated 8.4v nominal. This camcorder wants 12V. This 6400mah battery is probably totally overkill. No more fiddling with the USB-C PD mod I had on this. As usual I forgot to take pics of the inside, but the wires just go directly to the PCB under the battery terminals. #vhs #camcorder

Got a new charger for this old Hi8 #camcorder I've had since I was a teenager, I really doubt the battery will still hold a charge but I'm gonna try it first before I look into getting a replacement battery too. With the adapter it will turn on however, which is promising. I've got 4 60 minute tapes and really want to record a bunch of random footage to make into a collage I edit the old way with a #VCR and blank #VHS tape.
