oldguy52 - resist, live, love<p>Yesterday's volunteer workday at the Nature Sanctuary ended up being a bloodletting. We got into an area where curtains of roundleaf greenbrier had grown up, choking out trees. It was so thick (with gnarly thorns), that it blew up three chainsaws (the pole saw literally), wiped out a weed whacker modified for brush, and cut up my leather gloves (and me). A lot of iodine was used last night. As a caution, ticks are out in number now. </p><p>To soothe the cuts and bruises, and soothe the insanity of the day, here is an older photo of one of our Great Blue Herons. There were two that were far too tolerant, and would come far too close at times. This one had a damaged toe on the right. Had to back up to get this photo.</p><p><a href="https://techhub.social/tags/BirdsOfMastodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BirdsOfMastodon</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/BirdPhotography" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BirdPhotography</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/DarkTable" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DarkTable</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/320mm" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>320mm</span></a></p>
