El Perro Negro<p>So, last May, the BBC contacted us and asked us if we would be interested in leading UK "celebrity" Alan Carr on a Via Ferrata route outside of the town of Moclin. Of course, we said yes, although to be honest after 23 years outside the UK, I wasn't quite sure who indeed, Alan Carr was!</p><p>This short article describes our experiences working with Alan Carr and the BBC during the filming of "Amanda and Alan's Spanish job" (Episode 3) ... <a href="https://spanishhighs.com/articles/alan-carr-via-ferrata-spanish-job/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">spanishhighs.com/articles/alan</span><span class="invisible">-carr-via-ferrata-spanish-job/</span></a></p><p><a href="https://shmg.online/tags/viaferrata" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>viaferrata</span></a> <a href="https://shmg.online/tags/tvshows" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>tvshows</span></a> <a href="https://shmg.online/tags/uk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>uk</span></a></p>
Hannes<p>Been doing some hiking in Acadia National Park the last days! Beautiful spot but if it is off-season right now, I don't want to know how busy it gets in summer. 👫👬🧑‍🤝‍🧑👭🙈</p><p>There were great views of the Atlantic Ocean and even some short episodes of via ferrata. (Just enough to allow me to work on my fear of heights 😅)</p><p><a href="https://mountains.social/tags/Hiking" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Hiking</span></a> <a href="https://mountains.social/tags/Acadia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Acadia</span></a> <a href="https://mountains.social/tags/Maine" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Maine</span></a> <a href="https://mountains.social/tags/Klettersteig" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Klettersteig</span></a> <a href="https://mountains.social/tags/ViaFerrata" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ViaFerrata</span></a></p>
mxk<p>I thought last week would be the last proper alpine feeling hike, but then I went to summit of Alpspitze and hiked up 1900m of elevation 😬.<br>Treated myself to the cable car on the way down though.<br>And I now understand the aversion towards the via ferrata leading towards Alpspitze. Someone totally overdid it with artificial steps there.<br><a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/hiking" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>hiking</span></a> <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/viaferrata" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>viaferrata</span></a> <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/alps" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>alps</span></a></p>
mxk<p>I haven't been to the mountains for too long and I also haven't posted mountain pictures for too long. So since my photo decided to show me this one, you all get to guess where this picture was taken!<br><a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/hiking" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>hiking</span></a> <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/viaferrata" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>viaferrata</span></a> <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/mountains" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>mountains</span></a></p>
El Perro Negro<p>Bit sad this morning as we have decided to cancel next weeks Via Ferrata trip to the Italian Dolomites. So many reports from people about the bad weather and early season snow. Freezing my butt off and carrying winter equipment wasn't in my mind when I booked this.</p><p>Que Sera, Sera. It is what it is. Gives me something to look forward to next July. </p><p><a href="https://shmg.online/tags/mountains" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>mountains</span></a> <a href="https://shmg.online/tags/alps" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>alps</span></a> <a href="https://shmg.online/tags/italy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>italy</span></a> <a href="https://shmg.online/tags/viaferrata" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>viaferrata</span></a></p>
