Well...had another Stupid sighting this morning but he was just standing in a yard across the street starting at something and not moving...weird...I did get three rides in this morning with one outdoors and I think I'm getting used to riding outdoors since it felt pretty good...now it's just a little after noon and I have most of the work done I was planning so I am going to get to read a bit here in a minute...lots of racing on starting with F1 qualifying now...good afternoon!
#today

Well #today my girlfriend took off to L.A. for the Bernie Sanders/AOC protest going on up there.

Although to be honest I'm not sure if she's there for the protest or Neil Young or both?

Anyway, this means I'm in charge of the cats this morning and apparently they are both dying or dead. I can't really tell from their cries of desperation. Or is that just how cats always sound first thing in the morning?

#MorningAll.

#Today will mostly be spent in grandpa mode, as Bali has a soccer game down in Maricopa, then wants to come swim at our house. (She’s almost 7, so the cold water doesn’t bother her. Me? Different story. 🥶)

That means I can’t join the big rally at the Capitol, but I will be standing with others in Maricopa for a while before leaving for the game.

There’s a protest or rally near you today. I hope you find it and attend.

Courage & persistence. ✊

Happy #SlackerdaySaturday! We've got one more day of showers today. I don't mind, as it's temporarily washed the pollen out of the air.

I woke up with a bit of vertigo. Who knows why, but coffee is helping a little and it's just reinforcing my desire to take things easy today.

I've got lots of little odds and ends that need doing. I can get a number of them done in between relaxing, reading and cat cuddling. I hope you all have some time to spend doing whatever you wish.

7:00 AM
Good morning, y'all. 👋
I'm up to see a foggy but sunny start to my #Slackerday #today. A decent 42deg at my sipping start n heading for a sunny 65deg day today. 🌞👍

Woke up Kinda extra stiff n achy from over doin yesterday. I sorta lifted too much n strained some and hurt my chest. Hopefully, it's just muscle n not my heart. But gonna be cautious n sit n sip an extra bit lpnger n wait n see what #myday brings my way #today 👀.

Anyways, I'm figuring it's gonna be no problem n effort to sit back n sip slowly in the morning sunshine and find nothing worth doing much of today. At least thems the plans. 💪

Y'all have a great day being a little lazy, procrastinating a lot, and doin less working today. 💪🖖

Good morning!

We're having a "wintry mix" outside and I'm skipping my morning walk. I'll walk again when it's decent weather out there.

I'm hoping to get more writing done today along with a few chores and, of course, playing and cuddling with Theo-the-Cat. We've switched our brunch day to Sunday this weekend to accommodate one woman's schedule, so I'll be spending my day at home.

I was asked for more Theo photos. He's kind of camera-shy, but I did get one.

Have a good one, my friends.

A new day. A new chance to succeed.

Sitting quietly, waiting for the coffee to finish brewing.

An hour before dawn, a warm morning already. Shape of things to come as spring unfolds.

Dandelions have dotted the lawns.

I'm still looking for my first daffodils and crocuses. The fields are still mostly winter-browned but slowly greening. No sign of the rye or wheat grasses yet.

Perhaps today the flowers will bloom.

I hope the flowers bloom in your life #today

#today is more writing and sitting. And coffee. for whatever reason thinking about some Amtrak train trip I did in 2020. Across the US in almost both directions. The best was from Florida to new York. New York to Chicago and then across to Seattle. All in a sleeper. Originally I was to go to Egypt and Morocco and Turkey and end in Dubai to see a friend. That changed and I ended in Vietnam. For almost 2 years. Wonderful times really. 2020 was going around Vietnam even with the lockdown. Then Vietnam was an island of safety. So all the little bits and bytes. This place and that. Somehow ending in San Francisco before I flew to Hanoi.

This and that memory all crowd together. Coffee is responsible.

Saturday morning, full of promise.

Woke at 6.40 as the dogs were ready for breakfast because what are weekends? It was an hour later than my weekday starts so I guess we can call it a mildly disappointing sleep in.

So far:

- a mug of dandelion 'coffee' and two mugs of tea (it's a weekend after all, so I'm living on the wild side)
- 4 mins on the exercise bike (building up my stamina slowly)
- some freelance proofing
- reading a library book
- a chat to Kid2 about baking and the decision to try a new gf bread recipe over Easter
- reloading the dishwasher

The plans:
- weeding
- more proofing (it's not due to the end of the month but I have to cover half my colleague's job plus my own for the next two weeks, so I expect to be wiped out most nights)
- hang out the washing
- maybe clean the study, maybe not
- taking Kid2 to work and Dad to an appointment, after which, cuppa and chat with Dad
- making a massive, enormous pot of curry and rice for tea, omg I can't wait
