TIL that tomorrow is #BobWills Day, for those who celebrate Western Swing. But I also learned that I'm late for Maurice #Ravel's birthday, which was March 7, 1875--and I found out via Kansas Public Radio which was airing a tribute program today, the 9th. Looks like KPR lost a helluva lot more than just one hour today.

OF COURSE "Bolero" is worthy of celebration, and nobody celebrated that better than Zbigniew Rybczynski, notorious for his seemingly never-ending video transition productions. Here's "Bolero" furnishing the music to his "Stairway To Lenin".

Charity shop finds today! All worked perfectly! Been wanting to listen to more Johnny Cash for the last fifteen years (!), since my nephew, Austin Cash, was born but never got round to it.

Having been given a record player for Christmas has me exploring much more of a range of music than what streaming algorithms push at me.

 What a fantastic review by GEOFF PEARCE concluding with:
"This, in the balance of things, is a very fine disc indeed. The Pounds work is a revelation and I would buy this disc just for this alone. "
