Well, Spotify numbers are showing an uptick lately. 2,700 plays over a 28 day period is up about 1/3 over the previous period. Still in a poor fourth or fifth place in the DSP race. Soundcloud, Amazon Music, Apple Music, Deezer, and YouTube do me better than Spotify, and Spotify is run by a robber baron oligarch rather than the oligarch class. There are fine gradations in the amount of evil they do. #newmusic #musicians #music

I can honestly say that I've never known a better time for #NewMusic in my life, across every genre.

I can also honestly say that I've never known a worse time for mass music, radio, TV, game soundtracks, streaming playlists than now. The last time things were this shite was the '70s, pre-punk.

The kdrama #HospitalPlaylist was formative for me both as a kdrama watcher AND as a manager. (True story.) It had 2 seasons and, today, a spin-off released its first episode on Netflix: "Resident Playbook."
