About 1 in 5 people with a normal
#BMI have a high risk of developing complications associated with
#obesity. The Sophia project defined 5 subgroups of people whose risk for obesity complications is not aligned with their BMI. This helps to identify at-risk individuals.
Since a lot of these complications are preventable, it is possible to reduce the number of people who go on to develop these complications.
