Martin Pitt<p>TIL that you can build a <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/bootc" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>bootc</span></a> derivative container, a qcow2 image from it, boot it with QEMU (including /dev/kvm!!!) in <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/GitHub" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GitHub</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/workflows" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>workflows</span></a> , and run some smoke test inside that VM in 5 mins. Peter Makholm<p>How should <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/git" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>git</span></a> pull requests work in a post <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/GitHub" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GitHub</span></a> world?</p><p>It is kind of ironic that git enhanced the centralization of FOSS and it is nice to see a push away from GitHub. But how will pull requests work?</p><p>Will I have to maintain forks at 17 different Gitea/GitLab/Forgejo instances? I don't want to do that.</p><p>I found the AGit workflow inspired by Gerrit: <a href="https://forgejo.org/docs/latest/user/agit-support/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">forgejo.org/docs/latest/user/a</span><span class="invisible">git-support/</span></a></p><p>That sounds nice. No more forks, just a clone. No more API or website on top of git, just a push to a special ref.</p>
