The European Commission still has not responded to questions whether it conducted any human rights or data protection due diligence in preparing the #Europol-Egypt working agreement.

But it now announced the signing of the deal. 😡
And this despite warnings that this could increase repression against people in Egypt and surveillance at EU borders.

Members of a criminal group involved in the production of high-quality counterfeit euro banknotes have been arrested in a cross-border operation supported by Europol. The leader of the gang sold the counterfeit banknotes via an online messaging platform, with buyers making payments in cryptocurrency.
