Lo primero que se queda en mi cerebro tras las correspondientes escuchas a I Said I Loved You First es que el tema homónimo sobra y que en su lugar pondría Stained, muy representativa del concepto del disco aunque menos evidente en su literalidad.

Una elección mejorable. Justo esa frase podría repetirla a lo largo de estas notas. Y lo hago, las sobrevuela, es mi síntesis: elecciones mejorables. Dejen de leer.

El leit motiv del disco a cuatro manos y dos cabezas de la pareja formada por Selena Gomez y Benny Blanco quiere que hable de elles, y a la hora de la verdad, quizá por pudor, quizá por sus inquietudes, se van por otras veredas durante el proceso. Nada que con dejar ocho o diez pistas, o sea, filtrando sin miedo, no se hubiera podido arreglar.

Ojos Tristes ha sorprendido para bien. Incluso con su inesperado feat. Colaboración innecesaria pues Selena pasea por la melodía y su cadencia con una soltura divina. Frente a frente es la mejor canción de Jeanette para mí y para mucha gente, a la vista del resultado, no escogerla ha sido un éxito.

Pero no solo de melancolía vive una pareja, ni siquiera Gomez y Morticia, de seguido, el número de synthpop Don´t Wanna Cry recoge el testigo elevando no solo los rpm sino también la apuesta, barriendo para casa. Hit alert.

El dreampop retro de Sunset Blvd baja moderadamente el ritmo a cambio de encandilar con su melodía soñadora sostenida por unos teclados soberbios en su minimalismo.

'Scared', en cambio, guarda un lugar entre prescindible y mono, más lo segundo porque apuntala la raspa del álbum, hablar de ser dos. La que sobra (sin duda está por subir streamings) es I Can´t Get Enough. Tropiezo artístico.

Estar cachonda remonta. Bluest Flame, un hyperpop moderado, chispeante, queda -y entra- genial. Quiero más.

Quitando la paja, esto vale la pena.

The decline of SFX serves as a valuable lesson regarding the challenges of commodifying a subculture, highlighting the resilience of outsider communities. Prior to the rise of electronic dance music (EDM), dance music had thrived for decades as a grassroots and often marginalized community, with its members cautious of any efforts to exploit its cherished authenticity. Despite SFX's attempts to engage with a new generation of dance music enthusiasts, it struggled to resonate with the dedicated core audience at the heart of the genre. SFX developed within the EDM boom, a time when it seemed that electronic dance music would dominate the industry. However, the transition of a subculture into the mainstream can often alienate its foundational audience. As casual fans shift their interests elsewhere, a significant void is left behind.
