Last weekend was snowzy time in the mountains, this weekend was splashy time in the Rhine.

A beautiful older Bernese Mountain Dog resting on a grassy lawn in front of a charming white building with distinctive stepped gables and reddish brown tile roof. The dog has the classic tricolor coat pattern of black, white, and rust/tan markings typical of the breed, with a happy expression and tongue out panting a bit.

The setting is mid springtime, with vibrant seasonal colors throughout the scene. To the right, there is a stunning cherry tree in full pink bloom, while the light green of spring leaves surrounds the area. To the far left is the blazing yellow of Forsythia bushes. Hopefully not our last trip to the mountains with our old boy.

We have one of the top dog parks in the US at Minto Brown Island Park (#3 on USA Today 10Best contest). I used to go to one of the dog parks in Portland for #BerneseMountainDog meetups, but it was perhaps 1/2 acre. Minto Brown has about 30 acres for dogs.

Clover the Leonberger is many shades of brown, her face is black. Her fur is quite long. She has snowflakes on her face.

Sprout is a Bernese Mountain Dog. He is happy in the snow. He is mainly black, with a white chest. He has white on his snout and forehead. His toes are white. He has brown on his legs, cheeks, and eyebrows. He is happily letting the snow settle on him.

Happy dog!
