New weird issue I've run into with #Librewolf on #postmarketOS / #AlpineLinux - the latest version in the Alpine repository doesn't want to play any videos. I've tried on both YouTube and several Peertube instances and videos just sit at an endless spinner. Audio works fine, playing music from my Subsonic server works no problem. I installed the #Flatpak version and symlinked my profile directories, it plays video just fine using the same profile.

made a small amount of progress ✨

managed to hack an existing image for the #Pine64 #SoQuartz blade for running #AlpineLinux and it works!

i felt that the #RK3566 chip was running a little hot so i decided to add a little heartsink as well

did a little test to see if the NVMe SATA adapter works by hooking up two spare harddrives i had, and they showed up on lsblk

now i just need to design the mounts for the blade and harddrives ✨

I started using Linux back in January or February 2020, and my first distro was Elementary OS 5.1. It felt like the right choice from the start.

Since then, I've tried a bunch of other distros like Arch, Fedora, Alpine, Linux Mint, Manjaro, and Paldo. But in the end, I fell in love with Debian stable.

Arch and Fedora didn't really sit with me, but I might give Arch another shot someday. Out of all the ones I tried, my top picks are Debian, Elementary, Mint, Alpine, and Paldo.

Today, I run Elementary alongside Debian on my laptop, and Debian on both my desktops. I love what Elementary does, but for me, Debian is number one, and Elementary is a close second.

Not sure what just happened, but my #AlpineLinux #LibreWolf browser just stopped using ~/.librewolf for profiles and switched to ~/.mozilla/firefox. All my stuff was gone! I ended up copying my profile from ~/.librewolf to ~/.mozilla/firefox (same with ~/.cache/librewolf to ~/.cache/mozilla/firefox) and got it back, but still...why? Why did LibreWolf all the sudden revert to Firefox paths? It is definitely still Librewolf running according to About.
