Google has suspended Element (@matrix) from the Play Store for "Sexual Content and Profanity". Basically same story as with Subway Tooter a while back. Element is to Matrix as Chrome is to the web. Curiously, Chrome is still on the Play Store.
The annoying thing about the web audio api is that there seems to be no easy way to do math on signals - like scaling a signal to a certain range; the way to do this seems to mostly involve combinations of gain nodes and constant value signals... Thinking of going with #faust for web assembly instead; have to figure out how to load samples into it though...
I travelled into the future and met someone who remembered meeting me, much older [I had died by the moment when me-from-the-present arrived]. They said: "I knew we will meet again after your death, because [the older] you have told me we met already, in my future, and your past." I'm looking forward to meeting them again, for their first time and my second.
(The world was post-digital and less cruel btw)
If you are on Linux, and have SoX installed (it's 1 small package), then here is a bash alias to let you have relaxing ocean waves+waterfall sound playing, for if it calms you, or helps you in any way-- completely offline and lag-free. I'm using it as I fall asleep at night; https://gitlab.com/-/snippets/2066323 - thank you for inspiring me @WhirlyTheGig

Are standards really standards if you only let yourself (and maybe one friend) participate?

Not having to fear jail for using an ad blocker is quite an important aspect of software freedom and dignity of the digital self; it's also easy to understand for someone who have never heard of the GPL.
The fact that we still have the technical means for running things like ad blockers is something we shouldn't just take for granted in a world where DRM and centralized "app stores" are all over the place.
One day we might loose even that if we don't pay attention.
Sometimes I forget I can just listen to plain soundscapes instead of music. This time I didn't.
Did I already post this? https://jer.openlibhums.org/articles/10.16995/jer.67/ The first 4 minutes are amazing.
