I want to #commission a #3D model (of a not very famous landmark), so that I can 3D print it. How do I find someone? Can you do it? (yes I'll pay). I'd prefer open tools, like #blender. #3Dmodeling (pls boost)

Not sure how you would find someone. But have you looked into #photogrammetry techniques? Build a #3D model from a mesh built from photos taken from different angles. I know there are some open tools out there but never tried them myself. Also the Prusa people had a video tutorial (but not focused on open source tools).
@rmsilva @ebel @federicomena I have heard about it! And used it. VisualSFM was the programme I used years ago. Some OK results. TBH, this is for a gift, so I'm willing to pay to get decent quality from someone who knows what they're doing.
But further digging shows that someone has done this for that landmark! Maybe I can use that.
