@pocketpopcorn : nice project you've got there but the keyboard looks awful. For such a device, quality and complete keyboard is the first thing mobile-geeks like me are looking for. It's not even usable with a Dvorak layout, sadly.
There's also a growing niche community looking for a pocket e-ink laptop with good keyboard. (I even planned to launch my own as my next startup ;-) )
I realize that @regolith is hitting perfectly the sweet spot for older geeks who spent nights customizing their desktop while younger but are now with different priorities (family, job, sleeping).
You can still have the geek factor, the tiled windows, the ricing, the shortcuts, the config with @regolithOnStage, all of that with a very easy and and flat learning curve.
If you sometimes regret your previous geek life, give Regolith a try ;-)
I think the next-gen RSS feed reader will be ActivityPub based, allowing you to subscribe to Masto account, @peertube channels or @writefreely blogs. RSS and bridges to old proprietary tools will still be available. You will be able to comment something by replying to it with your own account.
The core of the work will be the distraction-less reading interface. For example see my own take on the problem: https://draft.abunchtell.com/p/read.as
@marien : j'ai toujours pas réussi à configurer Pocket dans flus.io. Un tip?
(oui, je sais, je dois migrer vers wallabag, c'est dans ma todo)
A complete guide on how to read Twitter without being able to post on it anymore.
Because you have probably better things to do than to argue on Twitter.
How to read your Twitter timeline through your RSS reader (and avoid being sucked into a time wasting universe).
1. Write the twitter accounts you follow, separated by a coma and without the @. @firstname.lastname@example.org @email@example.com @GeoffreyDorne@twitter.com becomes : ploum, korben,GeoffreyDorne
Don't forget to add the Firefox extension "Nitter redirect". This allows you to see a tweet if clicking on a link but you can't access Twitter anymore.
