@j12t Curious. I knew about the 50+ ongoing conflicts from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ongoing_armed_conflicts but I didn't know someone claimed to measure peacefulness in Europe with 4 significant digits. The results are slightly suspicious, for example a purported ~1 % increase in peacefulness in Italy and Finland under very militaristic governments with far-right elements. Apparently the biggest driver is "violent demonstrations". What if you pre-emptively jail everyone instead of beating them up in the streets?
