I am also wondering if I should move my bots to my own server, or create a separate one, and potentially share with others.

@stefan Maybe bots can try to find a home near their followers, by using https://data.stefanbohacek.dev/projects/fediverse ?
@nemobis Good idea! Definitely makes sense to spread the load.
@stefan A feature I've always wished is sorting the top instances by normalised count/concentration. So for example eupolicy.social would be first for me because it's 2 % of my contacts but my contacts are 4 % of their total accounts. (This could help bots find their language communities etc.)
