Another fun thing about Gab's re-launch as a Mastodon fork is that previously Gab raised $5.8M only to end up using free open-source software developed by other people. Even funnier is that they're trying to raise even more money now!

Fun thing about Gab's re-launch as a Mastodon fork: Mastodon tracks the number of active users by default so the Gab CTO had to hurry to remove that information from their API. He also had to remove trends because they showed the most popular tag only had 43 people in it
