@Tutanota
The fresh New dark theme is just perfect. Thanks a lot for your work

@facochr
Perfect?! In what way? It's horrible. It lacks contraste, scale. It's just grossly black with the hope text and stuff will come out ok-ish. Awful. The one big, big flaw with tutanota is design. Or rather, the total lack of sense for design. Tell me any design feature that's good. Even the menus are weird.

It's a pure engineering view, it seems.

I'm just a normal user, I open the client, it's black with a nice accent color, I receive my emails and that's it.
Yes, the menu is weird but weird about who/what? It is perfectly usable for every day
the Android application and the UI web are fine.
I tested other clients (K9, fairemail), Tuta is different Ok, but far from being horrible.

@facochr
I'm a huge tutanota fan, I believe it is the best service and I want a maximum of people to use it. That's why I am demanding. That's why I want them to do an excellent job on the user experience front. If privacy is to become the right of all, as it should, then tools such as these need to be attractive to all users. Not just geeks and people who have patience with technology.

@Tutanota

@facochr @Tutanota
I'm a normal user as well. I try to get people to use this,too. But normality is evolving and demanding more and more, as the "free" services offer more

@lakeview @Tutanota
What is the " more " in others when you have privacy at Tuta?

@lakeview @Tutanota I like the surprised look of people when I tell them my tuta.io address and this is the best.

@lakeview @Tutanota
I completely agree with you.
Actually, I haven't used scary software for so long that I don't know what it looks like now.
When I advise someone for a new email address, I propose Tuta and Protonmail

@facochr @lakeview Thanks for this discussion, it's duly noted, we plan to do another design update, but not right now as we're currently focusing on adding features.

@Tutanota
Good news. Advice: use a pro. It's worth the money. :)

@facochr
True that it's an odd, weird feeling when using gmail or chrome or crap like that nowadays. :) "Only the paranoid survive". I think it is a quote from Andy Gove, former CEO of Intel in his book Inflection point
@Tutanota

@facochr
Btw, I don't know why, cant put my finger on it, but there's something about protonmail that doesn't feel right. I have no idea where this feeling comes from. But they do have a great design and putting lots of thought and effort into it, so congrats to them for that.
