Hard to overstate what a titanic blunder this is. Lobbyists carpet-bombed MEPs with this junk, not noticing (or caring?) that it falsely asserted that GERMAN MEPs were Americans tweeting from Washington, D.C..

And check out the way they explain why no one in states that neighbor DC is tweeting about the it must be US lobbyists!

Except:

1. Maryland, etc are suburbs of DC filled with lobbyists' offices, and;

2. A moment's scrutiny shows that the analytics tool they used assumes any tweet with a blank location field originates in the capital city of the largest country where that language is spoken (e.g. Washington, but not its suburbs)
