ho damn ... I missed that one, buried I was by the toxic people killing the #fablab environment in #bxl last year :

I would not have probably looked into that ropebot solution at first, given the tensions on the X/Y axis I see on my own Mogul, but it looks like the disk is doing the job of stabilising the head well.
I'll probably try this build when I find a way to restart my workshop....
