@xuv fun to see the NYC Mesh presentation, remembering the Réseaucitoyen from more than 10 years ago ... that collapsed when we tried to implement "supernodes" to connect part of the city (and some did not liked the idea of non-equal nodes and saborded the project)
actually, the Okno node is still on the roof, not connected ... I need to recover the device one of these days before infamous Imal is putting it in a trashbin ;)
@xuv considering this pres. it really feels the same, with newer tech but same spirit :) (and need to reinvent the network wheel)
it's probably dead for now in Bxl given the institutional space, but who knows, maybe some windows could open if we find a fiber link somewhere to open up to Neutrinet alternative ISP ;)
@Olm_e Yeah. NYCmesh is growing fast. Other times, other goals, other tech choices, other culture. It's nice to see that the decentralize, bottom up networking trend is revived all over again, 20 years later. ;)
